Chains of Value & Tools of Attribution – Data Provenance

February 27 @ 9:00 am - 7:00 pm

Overview

One-day summit that brings together academics, cultural organisations and creative industries professionals to discuss data provenance

Join us for the inaugural Media AI Summit: Chains of Value & Tools of Attribution

This is a landmark one-day event exploring data provenance, copyright, and licensing frameworks in the creative industries. Co-organised by King’s College London, with the support of the Digital Futures Institute and the Department of Digital Humanities, in collaboration with TikBox, this summit brings together a powerful cross-section of voices – from academia and cultural organisations, to legal experts and technology leaders – to address some of the most pressing challenges facing the media landscape today: how to authenticate, trace, and manage creative assets in an age of generative AI.

Featuring speakers from Microsoft, BBC, Salesforce, Shutterstock, alongside researchers from King’s College London, the programme spans emerging standards like C2PA, legal perspectives on copyright and data management, and practical insights from creatives working to protect their work.

Whether you’re a technologist building provenance tools, a rights holder navigating new licensing models, or a policymaker shaping the regulatory landscape, this is an opportunity to engage with the ideas and people defining the future of media authenticity under AI technologies.

Have a look at the programme below (times are subject to change).

This event is free to attend but places are limited. Registration is strictly necessary.
